Haven't posted in a few days. This is an older piece of mine. Its a team shot of my favourite team. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse plus Lilith, The damned. She's a character I love and haven't done much with yet but there are plans.

An original page from the first ashcan for Epoch. In this scene we see the creation of the main character as well as his supporting cast. Since then I changed the perspective of the scene to make it a POV from the view of the creation rather than from the 4th wall.

One of my cover pieces for a graphic novel concept I was building. It morphed into a much larger project after a while and took on a new name. In truth, this chapter would have been 20th in a series of volumes just to get to this point. The new series is still due to come out but when you're doing all the work it takes a while to complete anything.

Someone already asked me if they could see the other concepts for the care bears that I made. Wow! Ask and ye shall receive!

A few months back I tried coming up with a concept for t-shirt design and in my search I created what i liked to call "The scare bears" sort of the worst of the worst care bear ideas but blended with pop cultural references. No t-shirt sites wanted to produce the designs. (no big surprise) but the designs themselves are still around in case you want to check them out. Here are the three i built before almost conceding to failure.

Today's post is a concept I made recently because word play is fun! Papa Smurf is a very popular character and although we usually see him as a leader we don't often think of him as a player.

Happy Thanksgiving/columbus day depending on where you live. I spent my sunday thinking about one of my favourite characters whom  friend said I reminded them of. It brought up a concept that I had in my head for this person and I wanted to share that concept with you now. I always thought it was funny that they made this product and this character so similarly named that you could almost replace one for the other. Also, this is something I suspect he would do.

The Muppet League

I've been looking for a theme to work on that hasn't already been done on the internet a hundred times. it took me some time to figure one out. You need two things when creating a good Set of Mash up Art:

1. A good base topic- Something common to everyone involved and something that can be manipulated into a theme.

2. A good theme to use on the subject matter. Again, something familiar to the audience but something relatively separate from our other topic.

once you have your concept its up to you to deliver it to the world in a positive and unique way.

I decided to use The Muppets as my topic them and The justice league as my theme. I'd seen one or two other versions of the same thing but none that were competitively constructed. I laid out a plan to convert the entire cast of The Muppet show into the Justice League. Most people would think that meant Kermit would be playing Superman (Or Superfrog) since he was the main character but I had other plans. Aquaman is usually called a joke and lame. Fozzie Bear makes lames jokes. Put em together and you have absolute magic!!! More to come!!!

The Corenne (The return)

its been a few years since i actually posted on my blog and I should have kept it up considering that its the easiest way for me to get my art seen by other people. still, now that I know the importance of my blog its about time that I made an update and posted some recent work. since I failed to post over the last few years I'll start with older work and add newer stuff everyday until we're up to date. This one is a homage to Fringe, one of my favourite north american tv shows. Olivia Dunham as a character has always stood out as one of the most interesting characters on television. A strong woman with a good sense of right and wrong as well as latent abilities that make her unique even to her own dimensional doppleganger. Olivia and Fauxlivia are two side soy the same coin except one side can shoot fire from her mind and the other has a gun and a wicked smile.
